Short Term and Long Term Injuries

If there is an unfortunate short term or long term medical condition that a student may have which affects his or her P.E. performance (i.e., asthma, heart conditions, strains, sprains, or breaks, etc.,) please inform Ms. Gorney and the front office personnel. A written document must be signed by the physician and parent and turnes into the main office.  This information is needed for our records so we can understand a student's given condition. Students will be required to make up the work with a written assignment or a research paper depending on the length of the condition.

SHORT TERM: One week - a parent note will be required.

LONG TERM: More than one week, a doctor's note is required. A doctor's note is also required when he/she can return to active   participation.

In the event in which a student is unable to participate due to a surgery or a medical diagnosis that removes them from activity for more than three weeks. Arrangements will need to be made between the teacher and family.
